The US$4.5 billion Yemen LNG project dispatched its first liquefied
natural gas shipment today (7th November). The 149,000 cubic
meters cargo is bound for South Korea's Korea Gas Corporation. The
plant is designed to produce 6.7 million tonnes of LNG a year. Beckett Rankine
assisted with design of the jetty which is sited in an exposed location as well as being founded on a
steeply sloping geological formation.
